Bailie’s Top 5: Random Pantry Staples
Happy Thursday! Welcome to my first Bailie’s Top 5. I have a list of my top 5 random favorite “XYZ”s that I’m going to start sharing with you guys, hopefully regularly!
This week being, Bailie’s Five Favorite – Random Pantry Necessities.
This little post (and hopefully steady series) was born because I am constantly opening my kitchen cabinet doors and getting the same things out, each and every time I find myself in the kitchen.

I’m not saying these are the healthiest options on the planet, but I am saying you won’t regret having them on hand. So, shall we?
1. Peter Pan Honey Roasted Peanut Butter
I kid you not when I say this peanut butter has crack in it. It is absolutely addicting. I will admit that I’ve actually woken up in the middle of the night with peanut butter reflux because I’ve eaten so much of this with a spoon. Great visual, I know. Put it on a PB&J, put it on toast, do whatever you want with it. You won’t go back to just regular peanut butter. Do yourself a REAL favor, toast your bread before you make the PB&J and then try and eat a regular one, ever again.

2. Toasted Sesame Oil
You can find toasted sesame oil fairly easy now, I see several different brands at Walmart every time I check. I’m not ashamed to admit that I LOVE instant ramen, add a dab of this stuff and you will love them too (maybe a bit of Sriracha too, thank me later). You can use it in this recipe which is by far the most popular on this blog. Use it in salad dressings, and just anywhere that you’d like to add a little Asian flair too. Be careful, a little goes a long way.
3 . Tostitos Hint of Lime
My husband actually cries when they don’t have these at the store. Never buy regular tortilla chips again. These are so good you don’t even need anything to dip them in. But, they go perfect with guac, nachos, cheese dip, cowboy caviar, pretty much anything you’d use chips for. YOU MUST BUY THEM!

4. Red Wine Vinegar
Okay, now this isn’t a stand-alone ingredient that you can enjoy by itself like the first three. Unless you’re a freak. But, Red Wine Vinegar is my #1 go-to for clean, light salad dressings. It has such a nice tangy kiss; you can put it with a splash of toasted sesame oil and you have a 2-ingredient salad dressing. Catch it in my cookbook in 2022 😉 Check out this salad for an herby vinaigrette. You can use rice wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar interchangeable, I just personally find the red variety to be my favorite!

5 . Montreal Chicken & Montreal Steak Seasoning
These are the two most versatile seasonings I’ve ever used, and I keep the big containers of them in my spice cabinet at all times. I have a whole chicken pasta recipe dedicated to this seasoning. Montreal Steak packs a little more heat so it’s perfect to marinade a steak with, but I love to put it on sweet potatoes because sweet and savory just, *chefs kiss*. Montreal Chicken Seasoning is good on any kind of meat, all kinds of vegetables like asparagus and brussels sprouts. Anything you can think of, cover it in this. You will not be sorry!
